Our client is one of the largest financial institutions in Canada and they are looking for a Middleware Specialist.

In this role, you will:
• Provide leadership for the provision of technical expertise in development and support of activities, processes, procedures and tools for protecting information security with a focus on application security plan
• Coordinate and supervise complex informatics assignments; design and apply new methods and procedures
• Solve business problems by providing detailed technical advice
• Coordinate, lead and monitor technical systems inquiries
• Liaise with vendors and service suppliers
• Support and lead solutions with service providers
• Certify satisfactory contract performance for systems development

Requirements:
• IT expertise in systems programming or network management
• Team leadership experience
• 5+ years of WebSphere admin experience including WAS v5.x and v6.x
• Very strong problem determination and troubleshooting skills for Java, WebSphere
• Strong network (TCP/firewalls, etc.) and operating system knowledge (AIX, Linux, and Windows)
• Project experience in working with integration and roll-out of new applications
• WebSphere and UNIX shell scripting expertise
• Excellent communication and language skills
• Strong team work and interpersonal skills
• Experience with high volume web-sites
• Experience with complex/large WebSphere topologies

Assets:
• Experience with WebSphere Portal
• Experience with WebSphere XD
• Experience with WebSphere ITCAM for WAS
• Java programming knowledge/skills
